2026-01-24 16:30:49We, the tenants of the building located at Place de la Diversité 7, 1217 Meyrin, have taken note of the property management’s letter regarding the storage of objects in the common areas.
We fully share the objective of safety, compliance, and keeping the common areas free of any obstruction. We acknowledge that no personal items should be stored there, in accordance with the building’s regulations.
However, we express our disagreement with the principle whereby costs related to the removal of abandoned or non-compliant objects would be charged to all tenants, regardless of any individual responsibility.
This collective billing approach:

places a financial burden on tenants who comply with the rules, which should not be theirs to bear,
-
wrongly equates all residents with isolated individual behaviors,
-
runs counter to the principle of individual responsibility, which is the foundation of fair management.
We therefore request that:

No costs related to the removal, storage, or disposal of objects be collectively allocated,
-
Any such costs be charged exclusively to the individuals identified as responsible, where possible,
-
Failing identification, no collective recharging be applied to tenants who comply with the regulations,
-
Any measures taken respect the principles of proportionality and fairness among residents.
Through this petition, we affirm our willingness to cooperate in respecting the building’s rules, while refusing that tenants not concerned bear the financial consequences of individual breaches.
